Greatestestestest news ever!!!!!
Like, forreal though!
As I sit here, procrastinating on my mountain of Music Appreciation homework and English essays and dreading the fact that the next 5 days will be consumed with studying physics, I am bubbling with excitement. I can’t sit still!!!!!
I can’t even think of what to say right now, I’m so excited! Here’s the story:
After working my super slow three hour shift at the bookstore this morning, I had to take my physics lab final. Shoot me, now. I am so ready to never have a physics class ever again. I got to lab and started working on the test- which turned out to be pretty simple- I get a text from my friend Claci. All it said was, “Congratulations!! :)”
I was slightly confused by this. I mean, I only have finals week left and I was done with school, so I didn’t really see why I needed a congrats for that. So, I didn’t reply and got back to work on my test. Five minutes later, I got a notification on Facebook from another friend and sorority sister saying:
“ADDIE! WE ARE GOING TO KENYA!!!!! :) AHHHHHHHHH”
Indeed, I am going to Kenya over winter term for the “Partners in Caring” Study Abroad trip!

If I could have screamed from the excitement, I would have… but I think my classmates would have found that rather rude… and that I was mentally breaking down. So, I hurry and finish my test, turn it in, run out the door, and check my email. The congratulatory email was right there! And since then, I’ve been practically worthless in everything else I’ve had to do today!
I CAN’T WAIT! I’M SO SO SO EXCITED! I can’t wait to experience medicine in Kenya and see what I, hopefully, be able to do when I become a doctor. I am truly, beyond blessed for this opportunity! I’m still in shock about it! Today is great! God is great! Life is great! I couldn’t ask for a better day! :)
